Vintage Headband

I saw this surprisingly cute hair tie at the Dollar tree. My hair is too short for a hair band so I decided to make a headband. I love headbands but they always hurt my head! So a ribbon headband is what I decided on.

All you need is this little hair tie and some ribbon. I had some black ribbon on hand so my total for this was $1

ONE: cut the ribbon to the size of your head and add a few extra inches to tie it.

TWO: cut the rubber band off of the hair band so its just the little button.

THREE: Hot glue the ribbon to the button. You can also paint the button a different color like silver or gold if you want.

And thats it! Super easy. Just tie it around your head. If you leave the ribbon a little longer it can even Double as a belt!

  1. I love this idea! dollar store, for real?! I am going to have to attempt to duplicate this idea. I will link back if I can find a cool vintage ponytail holder.
